Përshkrimi

As IT Support Engineer, you will ensure internal departments are provided with high quality systems technical support. You should project a professional company image through personal interaction with colleagues and customers. Troubleshoot all technical problems to determine source, and undertake appropriate action. Follow up with colleagues the resolution of such problems. Use appropriate computer systems to log and report technical problems and their resolution. Help customers with hardware configurations and equipment testing. Aim to get maximum positive feedback from the customers.


Detyrat

  • Install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems;
  • Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the company;
  • Talk staff/customers through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone;
  • Manages and develops Domain Controller Systems in the company. Regularly tweaks of performance and security related policies;
  • Develop and maintain IT Operating Systems & Hardware infrastructure according to company needs in compliance with company standards and procedures;
  • Responsible for developing and maintenance of IT systems Infrastructure such as Operating Systems, Hardware, Virtualization Infrastructure etc;
  • Responsible for IT security and security issues related to Operating Systems and IT Hardware Infrastructure;
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware/software faults;
  • Find solutions to problems, be it through creating a desktop shortcut or fixing a major fault on the operating system; replace parts as required;
  • Develops new system solution implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. Trains technical staff in how to use new solution and hardware developed and/or acquired;
  • Provide support, including procedural, documentation;
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical business systems resources;
  • Develops procedures and maintain security and protect operating systems, databases and hardware from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse;
  • Identify and define system security requirements for IT services;
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system for security enhancement, security procedures etc.;
  • Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for IT Operations, Company Technical Support, IT Systems Development and other staff to assist with work;
  • Stays current with technological developments in IT systems administration technology and recommends ways to management to take advantage of new technology;
  • Prepare and produce reports for IT operation, task activity, project implementation, etc.;
  • Manage users & access controls, system customization, data rules/assignments and workflow into IT systems;
  • Manage VPN configuration for remote access of company users, and ensure regular checks for updated information;
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated solution for problems, projects or operation;
  • Develop and maintain IT systems standards and to follow latest technology guidelines and standards;
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities;
  • Report all security and IT issues to Head of the Department to ensure that user access is in line with job functions;
  • Responsible change implementation and product configurations in test and live systems related to IT infrastructure;
  • Responsible for elaboration, analysis and documenting of changes requests related to IT systems;
  • Produce reporting, build customized reports and define/build analytic reports for IT systems;
  • Consistent work and training to be certified on domains of OS, Linux, Windows, scripting etc.
  • Run network applications to support systems and users;
  • Recommend process improvements;
  • Make sure that the Madcom website is always updated with relevant technical support information by providing the necessary information to the webmaster;
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs;
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or escalate, if appropriate); prioritize and manage several open cases at one time;
  • Provide on-the-job training for new employees.

Kualifikimet

  • Requires a technical degree in Information Technology, or equivalent skill gained through experience coupled with 3+ years of experience in systems (hardware and software) support.
  • Experienced in Windows Domain Controller, Windows Client / Server Administration and Virtualization Systems;
  • Experienced in DNS Systems, Hosting Systems, and Email Systems and IT Security;
  • Basic knowledge C, C++, Scripting on LINUX/UNIX and Windows Platforms;
  • Programming knowledge in PHP, UML, HTML, XML, API’s, JAVA, MYSQL, SQL Language etc.;
  • Good Knowledge in web hosting and web master;
  • Basic principles of RDBMS (MSSQL, SQL Server etc.);
  • Knowledge on WEB/Desktop/Database programming and Database administration;
  • Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills and have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment;
  • Excellent knowledge of Madcom products and services, IP protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, FTP, HTTP, DHCP, SMTP), and the ability to install and support all company equipment;
  • Good understanding of Firewall/VPN Solutions;
  • Good knowledge of Anti-Virus technology, software & best practices, on LAN Networks;
  • Flexibility, confidentiality, team working, learning capability and excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to communicate with vendors, should any issues arise, or new products or services are marketed and help the work of the team;
  • Strong decision-making skills. Judgment errors can affect the organizations operational efficiency;
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team. Good time management skills in order to achieve personal and team objectives;
  • Ability to take ownership and be willing to resolve any issues that arise. Ability to identify procedural issues that affect the work of the team and recommend solutions;
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to acquire new skills with on-the-job training and certifications;
  • Ability to provide on-the-job training to new employees.
