Detyrat

Your Responsibilities Summed Up:

• As Field Service Engineer you are responsible for providing professional service and support for S2 equipment, by performing field service troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on the systems.
• You will independently perform field service activities within guidelines and in compliance with internal procedures and regulations.
• Responsible for preventing system failure, detecting anomalies right on time, maintaining the system, fixing issues, etc.
• Conduct on-site periodic and scheduled maintenance of a variety of electronic equipment including cargo screening devices and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems and subsystems to include x-ray imaging systems, power supplies, computers and servers, computer peripherals, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems using technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, PLCs, and service documentation.
• Handle on-call requests for the repair of equipment due to malfunction or failure. Determine when repairs require more expert capability and determine when assigned equipment is unserviceable.
• Follows prescribed maintenance procedures and ensures that parts and tools needed to support and facilitate repairs are readily available. Advise superiors on the appropriate storage of parts and tools and ensures that all parts and tools are tracked and appropriately inventoried.
• Completes paperwork and documentation such as service reports, radiation surveys, parts requisitions, etc., on time and without errors.
• Make recommendations to superiors on ways to eliminate or ease field maintenance or operational problems.

Kualifikimet

Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes

• University Degree in engineering, preferable would be to have also finished professional schools, in relevant technical fields.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical specifications, schematics, and design principles.
• Have at least five (3) years of experience in proven maintenance hands-on experience on electro- mechanical equipment (troubleshooting and repairs), especially of electronic and electrical systems, UPSs, etc.
• Skills in IT, ability to solve hardware problems on servers and computers, update software configurations, backups and restoring on servers and computers as needed, networking, etc
• Ability to communicate and write technical reports.
• Very good communication skills, English speaking is a plus.
• Pass an employment security investigation background check, and pass a drug screening test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record for purposes of insurability.
• Satisfactorily complete all training requirements.
• Occasional travel both domestically and internationally may be required.
